do I still need a USB-e-licenser for these or is there a soft e-license used now? how does that work? do you always have to be connected to the internet or is that license embedded on the computer?
Artist uses the USB dongle. The soft-license is on the hard drive. Once you activate it, it does not need access to the internet.

Thanks for info.Too bad … I know this has been discussed endlessly, but I certainly (continue to) dislike this dongle licensing system! It’s a real pain, particularly if one travels with a laptop.
I think it’s time they implemented a system which includes transferring the licence between the dongle onto the PC. Then we can make the choice ourselves.
