Soft eLicenser to dongle

Hi,
I need to mix on nuendo next week in a studio that has cubase.
Engineer is happy to install nuendo 12 (that I use)
But I quick check my eLicenser because I remember there’s something fishy with what’s going on there for a year.
And I don’t see my Nuendo 12 license. Only 11.
There’s a Soft-eLicenser (Sel) icon in this eLicenser but when I select it it’s empty…
In Steinberg Activation Manager I see :
Nuendo 12 activated.
Is it possible (better?) to have that nuendo 12 on my dongle to travel to other computers ? if so how to do that ?
I check steinberg topics but not helping. In there case the Soft eLicenser visible in the eLicenser Control Center has a software in it (cubase LE5)

I don’t understand where is my license… all this is so confusing.
thx

You simply have to log out of the Steinberg Activation manager (new studio) and log in with your username. When you finish, remember to close. and then deactivate that computer

Oh ok simple. And that’s the mySteinberg login right ? I guess.

exact. There you can see the activated machines. You just deactivate it and that’s it.

Let’s see if a moderator like @Martin Jirsak can explain it better and in more detail since I’m not very fluent in English and what I don’t want is to confuse you more.

Nothing confusing at all, since Nuendo 12 you do not need the eLicenser anymore. Versions up to Nuendo/Cubase 11 require the USB eLicenser, everything else is simply activated via the Activation Manager. At least for Nuendo the Soft eLicenser was never used, so don’t even try to play with that.

Just install your Nuendo 12 software on the studio machine, launch the Activation Manager, login to your mySteinberg Account and activate it. You can do this with up to three machines at the same time.

And if the studio computer is not connected to the Internet, there’s also an offline activation method.

thx.
i’ll try that.

Can the software operate at same time on those 3 machines ? or one only ?

Yes.

I think it will work on all machines at the same time, but I haven’t tried that and I do not see any hint in the Steinberg documents on this.

The licensing system is not contacting the server after it has been activated and if you use the offline licensing, as @Martin90 describes, it has not even a connection to the Network.

good.
Thank you for all your answers.
