Softube Console1 Channel MK3 - Cubase integration level, Can it display MixConsole GUI?

Hey there Console 1 MK3 users, curious as of today what the integration level with Cubase is.

For example, can it display Cubase channel EQ on the devices LCDs?

Has there been any development here from Softube or Steinberg?

I got a Mk3 C1 a couple of weeks ago - nothing on the documentation about being able to use Steinberg apps or plugins at all. Still seems as though UAD and Brainworx plugins are the only supported plugs for the C1.

Excellent piece of kit in its native form, but for anyone already invested in the Softube universe it is fantastic. Currently available with the ‘Producer Collection’ as a bonus freebie.

Another thread on here was discussing the likelihood of Cubase features being incorporated into a hardware controller, but that seems unlikely.

Does C1 follow MixConsole/project channel visibility, or is it always integrating all the tracks no matter?

Just checked that for you, and no, it doesn’t respect track visibility, unfortunately.

Interesting,

I wonder if MIDI Remote has the capability of scripting this behaviour, perhaps @m.c knows

Yes, MR totally has the track visibility follow capability. There is still a sync issue when we change tracks visibility, i.e. it doesn’t immediately refresh the list of visible tracks, one has to navigate “somewhere” in the mixConsole. I have a suggested snippet for any dev wishing to overcome this: Tricking MIDI Remote to update the mixer bank zone when visibility changes

We are way beyond my understanding of how these things work at this point, but a useful piece of information for others to refer to. Many thanks @m.c
