When I’m working in the Key Editor, I only hear the tracks that have MIDI parts that are currently open in the editor (regardless of what other tracks are not muted). I don’t get the full mix until I click in the transport and make it the active area again. This tracks with audio in them - when I’m working in the editor, I can’t hear those. Is this normal behavior? Thanks in advance.

Yes, of course! In the Key Editor window, there is a Solo Button all the way in the top left corner of the window just under the window close/resize buttons.
