I don’t understand what happened. With the newest Dorico update, the vst2whitelist.txt now goes in the directory below. When I did it the first time and removed the txt file from where is used to be, everything worked. Now when I start Dorico, the vst list below no longer appears.
I have a whitelist (vst2whitelist.txt) showing in “/Users/username/Library/Preferences/VSTAudioEngine” directory":
Kontakt 5 16out
ARIA Player VST
ARIA Player VST Multi
In Dorico, please choose the menu Help > Create Diagnostics Report. That will create a zip file on your desktop. Please send it to u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de.
Problem solved. Nicholas deleted the vst2whitelist.txt under /Applications/Dorico.app/Contents/Applications/VSTAudioEngine.app/Contents/Components.
If that one is not there, then also the user whitelist under /Users//Library/Preferences/VSTAudioEngine will not get read in.
