SOLVED : Asus Z97 A motherboard question

Hi All!

I’m upgrading my computer’s cpu to an i7 4790k… im planning to get an asus z97 a mobo to go with it.

I Have an emu 1820m soundcard (ancient i know) which i really love and would rather continue using. It needs a PCI 2 slot for installation.

So, my question is… will I be able to use the emu 1820m on the asus z97 a mobo.

I looked on the net but havent yet found a definitive answer.

UPDATE : found answer on gearslutz… it CAN be used!

I originally thought that it would not be compatible but the Asus Z97-A mobo does come with 2 PCI slots.
