On C15 Pro, create (File → Save as Template) a new Template.
set Left Locator to 1.0.0.0, Right Locator to 5.1.1.0
File → Save as Template
Quit Cubase
Start Cubase
On the Hub, select the new Template → Create
result 1:
both the Left and Right Locators’ positions are reset to 1.1.1.0
Now, set again Left Locator to 1.0.0.0, Right Locator to 5.1.1.0
File → Close → Dont’ Save
On the Hub, again, select the new Template → Create
result 2:
Left Locator is now at the correct 1.0.0.0 position, Right Locator at the correct 5.1.1.0 position
Now Quit Cubase
Start Cubase
On the Hub, select the new Template → Create
result 3:
again, both the Left and Right Locators positions are reset to 1.1.1.0
Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
Hi,
Locators position is not stored with the project. It works as sepcified.
On C13 Pro (my last Cubase before C15) and all previous Cubases they were.
@Martin.Jirsak And if you were right, why after closing and reopening the Template without quitting Cubase they are retained?

Is that a change in Cubase 15? Locator position was always saved with the project before.
Actually I don’t think so. IMO is just a bug: if you close and reopen the Template without quitting Cubase, L and R Locator positions are retained.

I have Nuendo 14 and Cubase 15 Pro here. I just tried this test with both of them and got the same result.
Create new project
Set locators to bars 3 and 15 (in this case).
Save as template
Close Nuendo / Cubase
Open Nuendo / Cubase
Create project using the new template
Specify project location
Project opens with locators at bars 3 and 15.
Nuendo 14.0.40 and Cubase 15.0.5 on Windows 11 latest build.
Thanks KT66 for the confirmation. I’ve just tried again: now the locators are in the correct position! Maybe a temporary glitch. Anyway, I’ll report back here, should the issue returns.
