[SOLVED][C5] Flickering Playhead/Cursor in Windows 7 (Aero)

Hello! :slight_smile:

I’ve had this problem ever since I upgraded from C4 to C5. The playhead cursor (vertical line indicating play position) flickers when the track is playing. I’ve searched the forum and found that turning off Aero will fix this problem, but I’m wondering if anyone has found a workaround that doesn’t involve disabling Aero? This has always bugged me and I wish Steinberg could fix it. I love Cubase but this bug irritates me to no end because it’s such a simple yet important feature.

SOLVED

The problem was caused by the Cursor Width setting in the Preferences → Transport section. I had it set to [1] which caused the cursor to flicker - by increasing the width to [2] the flickering stopped and the cursor now operates normally.

Hope this helps anybody else out there that might still be having this problem. :]
