[solved] can't hear playback

I am using Element 8 and cannot hear any playback from the desktop speaker.

I can hear the playback using headphone through connecting it to the audio interface, but I can hear nothing when I

switch to the ASIO driver in Device Setup. Why was that?

What are your desktop speakers connected to? Internal soundcard?
What ASIO driver are you switching to?..as built in sound probably has no ASIO driver?
If you have an interface why not connect the speakers to the interface and monitor everything through the interface?
