SOLVED: Cubase Crashing after Windows Update KB4023057

All of a sudden, I can’t record in Cubase. Shortly after the transport starts, it hesitates once and then stops completely. Some buzzing sounds come from the speakers and Cubase shuts down without any warnings. The following is recorded in the Windows Event Log:

Yesterday, I spent six hours recording and arranging in Cubase without a single problem. The only change to my system I’m aware of is that when I shut down for the evening, Windows pushed out an update (KB4023057). I’m using Cubase v9.5.40 Build 259 - Built on Sep 20 2018.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

FYI, updating to Cubase 9.5.50 fixed the problem.

Last Cubase 9 update on here is 9.5.41

Where you get the 9.5.50 from?

In Cubase, there’s an announcement in the Hub, with a link to the Cubase 9.5 downloads page.

Thanks
