For anyone who is having issues with performance or startup error in cubase 12, i found out what was plaguing me. Activation manager wants the most recent password for the mysteinberg account. I changed mysteinberg password online but did not log out activation manager and log back in. If activation manager has an old or bad password Cubase 12 does not load correctly.
