After working for quite a few days with Cubasis 3.8.1 on my iPad Pro M2 I‘m facing the following issues:
- Duplicating a project always fails. No matter if I use the option in Cubasis or manually duplicating and renaming a project with the native files app on the iPad. I always end up with a „damaged“ project which cannot be loaded
- All over sudden, adding audio wav files to a project only works for a few tracks and then further audio files aren‘t loaded anymore into the project or only for a „certain amount“.
What I wanted to do:
- I‘ve recorded a concert with two sets
- I‘ve created a track layout for the first set, loaded all audio files, set all effects and mixed down the tracks from the first set.
- Then I wanted to duplicate this project to use all effects and settings for the wav files of the second set of the concert.
Result: I can‘t get all audio tracks from the second concert set loaded into Cubasis and got stuck now.
Any ideas?
Hi @hisdudeness,
Thanks for your message.
I just checked duplicating a project, where everything works as expected - see two clip examples below (Cubasis 3.8.1, various AUv3 plug-ins in first project, audio files in second project, iPad Pro 13" M5, iPadOS 26.1).
Please let me know which iPadOS version you’re using and share more details about your issue. If the problem is reproducible, it would be great to have the project.
Best,
Lars
Hi Lars,
thanks for replying to quickly! I was able to solve the problems by manually backing up all subfolders from the Cubasis folder on my iPad, deleting the app, reinstalling the app and overwriting the freshly installed subfolders with those from my backup.
Maybe it‘s the size of my project which led to some kind of „overflow“. The size of my project is around 6.5 GB and maybe Cubasis is more designed for a bit of Midi/Audio fun in single tracks.
However, it‘s working again, thanks for your help!

Thanks for the quick update, @hisdudeness
Glad to read you’ve been able to resolve the problem.
