Hi @heymanrb2,
Thank you for your message and for the warm welcome to the Cubasis forum.
We are sorry to read about your issues using your 3rd party hardware with Cubasis.
So far, we are not aware of any issues related to using class-compliant devices with Cubasis for iOS/iPadOS. I suggest getting in touch with Behringer to look into this further and to confirm whether the device has been verified as class compliant.
Please note that we do not perform compatibility testing for third-party audio devices, as this is the responsibility of the respective manufacturers.
That said, we are always happy to support manufacturers by providing a Cubasis promo code free of charge for testing purposes.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Lars
Thanks Lars.
Behringer website says its compatible with cubasis… As i said in my Post. it worked great in cubasis until the latest ios update… my guess is steinberg needs to update the app. I cant be the only one having this issue.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Robert
“UMC1820 is compatible with all popular recording software including Avid Pro Tools *, Ableton Live *, Steinberg Cubase, and others – it’s ready for anything.”
Hi @heymanrb2,
Cubase is our desktop DAW for Windows and macOS.
Cubasis for iPhone/iPad fully supports class-compliant audio devices.
Please note that compatibility with Windows or macOS does not automatically mean compatibility with iPhone or iPad devices (“class compliant”).
Please get in touch with Behringer to confirm whether your device is class compliant.
If needed, we’re happy to provide a Cubasis promo code for testing purposes.
Best,
Lars
Im going to get help from apple… its their software thats the problem… I just proved it by trying Garageband… and same issue with Garageband
Hi @heymanrb2,
Since the issue also occurs with GarageBand, I strongly recommend contacting the manufacturer of your audio device first and asking them for support.
Again, we’re happy to provide a promo code for testing purposes, if required.
At this point, we are not aware of any general issues when using class-compliant audio devices with Cubasis for iPhone or iPad.
Best,
Lars
Lars,
Update:
I changed the usb cable and it’s been working great since then.
Thank you for following up. GarageBand also works but I prefer your software.
Hi @heymanrb2
Thanks for the update.
Glad to read that you’ve resolved the problem via using a different USB cable.
Best,
Lars
