(SOLVED) Importing Audio Automatically Quadruple’s in Size

Hi all,

Am I going mad here!

I just created a new project in Cubasis 3, completely empty, absolutely nothing in it, but as soon as I import a 9.9MB M4A audio file, the project immediately becomes 46.6MB in size, what on earth is going on :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I have cleared the History, nothing else has been done to increase the project size.

I have not Normalised the audio track, it still shows as only being 9.9MB in:

Media > Audio > My Audio Files.

I am trying to reduce the size of my past projects because Cubasis 3 occupies 40Gb and it shouldn’t, they all show larger than normal file sizes?

Any advice would be very welcome

Mike

The .M4A file is converted to .wav file when you add it to a project…

Thank you @LSlowak,

I keep forgetting to edit my titles by adding SOLVED.
