[Solved] Midi playback problem (FM8)

Eternal newbie here. In a particular project I can play and record FM8 with en external keyboard, but playing back the recording doesn’t do anything. What would you suggest checking first? It’s just this one project…

Thanks for the response! Tried that, but it didn’t help. Also tried

  • reloading FM8,
  • creating a new midi track
  • creating an instrument track for FM8
    …and copying the midi data, no good.

The problem seems to happen only when beginning with a certain FM8 preset… so maybe I’m on a wrong forum.

Yep, “problem solved” :unamused: It was the FM8 arpeggiator key sync “feature”. Arpegiator on fm8 | NI Community Forum …

You might want to prefix your topic title with something like “[Solved] …” and maybe even append with “… (FM8)” so that people with the same or a similar problem can find it easier and you will have helped them. :slight_smile:
