In the past, I had the famous problem with duplicate MIDI Remotes appearing.
I read here that you could fix this by using the new WinRT mode. That was fine.
After the recent Windows MIDI update, I had 3 problems:
MIDI Remote are lost (see another topic).
MIDI Remote duplicates are back.
no sound when playing on a MIDI keyboard with a soft synth!
For the third element, someone clever has explained the whole problem here :
Solution : check “Use System time for WinRT MIDI” if you use WinRT MIDI.
Pete from Microsoft has then alerted someone about this bug. It has to be fixed.
But what is incredible is the bug itself: the timestamp is miscalculated, and that means that Cubase is supposed to trigger the notes you play on your keyboard… in a few years (see GitHub page for details). Certainly one of the strangest bugs I’ve seen…
