I just started using Cubasis 3 for iOS, full version, and I’m having problems with the sound of a MIDI track going quiet then rising back to regular volume quickly. It doesn’t come back at full volume immediately, it’s like someone turned the fader up. I’ve only recorded MIDI so far, so I don’t know if the same thing will happen with audio.
Other facts:
I am using an IK Multimedia iRig Keys I/O 49, newly purchased.
I’m on iOS 17.7.
I am using the internal voices (the Yamaha DX-7-sounding FM EPiano).
I turned off the multicore setting.
I turned on low waveform quality.
It’s a MIDI issue, but in case this is relevant, latency is set at 5.3 ms.
Round trip latency is measuring at around 25-35 ms.
Thanks for your response. I just discovered the issue occurs on another app, so I now suspect it is my new IK Multimedia iRig Keys I/O 49, and not Cubasis at all. I’ll leave this open and report back. If others are having the same issue, and it is in fact not Cubasis, perhaps that will reduce any similar future entries and reduce issues you need to address. I see you are very responsive over many years here and on the Apple App Store, and I don’t want to bog you down and keep you away from the good work you do.
For what it’s worth, I did have some panning automation, but removed that. I do not think that is related.
I can’t upload the clip to the forum as it’s not a supported file type. It’s an iPhone mov file. I have zero knowledge on how to convert it to another type, and my laptop is bricked. I don’t have a website to upload it to, and I don’t know how to send private messages here.
I don’t seem to be having an issue with the new project created per your instructions above. It did happen once right after creating the project and MIDI file when I wasn’t video recording it, but I tried video recording it happening numerous times this weekend after that and the volume isn’t dropping out anymore. I didn’t do anything, no adjustments to latency, etc.
Thanks for all your very quick and very timely responses!
