And if they do decide to add this feature to enhance (I won’t say “fix) UI workflow with tie-chains, I will happily go find other windmills at which to tilt!

I don’t even want to imagine the thousands of complaints that would pour in if they were to change this after 8 years.
I admit I get caught out by it too when selecting. But it is logical and consistent.
