[SOLVED] Transpose whole midi file

Is there a basic midi file player / editor app in iOS that can transpose and save a whole midi song easily cos I don’t see it in Cubasis … WHY is it not there in Cubasis ?

Hi Mike,

to my knowledge there is no App being able to do that.

If you are not already familiar with the procedure, in Cubasis you can select all notes in a MIDI track at ones in the key editor and transpose.

Take a look at the Cubasis user guide:

Thanks Ricardo I did find that way to do it . I’m just being lazy and I seem to remember being able to do it on PC apps

Hi Mike,

Here is a quick tip how to do it in 2 steps:

  • Choose “Select” to select all MIDI parts in the arranger
  • Tap “Transpose” and choose the desired setting

Hi Lars midi arranger are you referring to midi editor double click track ?
I.e. Transposing 1 track at a time or is this suggestion something else for the whole song in one go ?
Thanks mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your message.

Cubasis’ main window includes the arranger view (where you record and see your MIDI or audio tracks).
If you plan to transpose multiple MIDI tracks at once proceed as stated above:

  • Choose “Select” to select all MIDI events in the arranger
  • Tap “Transpose” and choose the desired setting

Following theses simple steps will allow you to make these changes in a snap.

Best,
Lars
