not new at all to Cubase, but pretty nooby with Cubasis and anything apple’ish.
Imported flacs via WiFi into Cubasis’ media bay, everything fine. If I import them into a Cubasis project they are converted to .wav. Is there a way to avoid conversion and simply work with .flac in the project?
My concern is nothing more but the limited storage.
Cubasis do not support working with unconverted flac files, but allows to import in / export to that format.
With Cubasis 1.9.8 we support additional storage options such as iCloud Drive, external hard drive and Wireless Flash Drives. It could be a strategy to backup files choosing one of the available methods (iTunes Filesharing, WiFi Server etc. are further options already existing) in saving limited storage and transfer them back to the iPad at a later time if required.
good to understand how it handles the files. This leads to another question: once the files are converted to wav, are the flacs kept on the iPad? Cubasis’ media bay still lists them as FLAC.
Maybe a dumb question… in the locked-in world of iOS I just don’t know how to easily take a simple look to the file system…
