Several recent topics on the subject of dongles, especially the recent topic entitled Dongle Virgin, have inspired (?) me to compose the following ditty, entitled Some Doggerel about Dongles.
Yes, I know I shouldn’t use the word ‘dollars’ and the word ‘Bobby’ in the same poem, as they are a pond apart, but oh well:
Buddy, does your dongle dangle?
If it does it’s such a wrangle
To undo the awful tangle
That your licenser presents.
If engraving is your hobby
Then you’ll either have to lobby
For a change in Steinberg’s ‘Bobby’
Or add dollars to your sense.
