Some mystery in lyrics spacing

Hi, is there any explanation why the word ‘sing’ is shifted to the left so that, the note is not above? Usually notes are spacing according to the words properly and so far I know, I haven’t changed the settings apart from aligning all parameters to the left, what I always do. Thanks in advance.

If you decrease this value in Engraving Options, Dorico won’t allow such a big offset and will increase the note spacing instead (try with 3/8 for example):

It looks as though all of your lyric syllables are left-aligned. That’ll create a lot of problems. Normally speaking, only melisma syllables, like ‘tri-’ in ‘triumph’ should be left aligned, but your ‘umph’ is also left-aligned which is forcing ‘sings’ unnecessarily far to the right. Same with ‘Hark!’ which, when left-aligned, increases the amount of horizontal space required for the dotted eighth. Instead of changing the setting for proportion of lyric width for horizontal adjustment, you might try changing your lyric alignment settings.
