Along with the largely unknown post-audio improvements we expect to see in Nuendo 8, you will probably find this Cubase 9 overview video from Sonicstate enlightening. They get into the plugin additions and improvements towards the end of the overview but there are also a few bits on production workflow and tweakability in the improved plugins that are demoed, as well as a go through using multiple marker tracks and the rejigged UI. I found it instructive.
