Sometimes text search boxes don't work / don't override key commands

This happens all the time for me when using the search box when searching for plugins, VSTs, creating a new track, etc.

I will click the search box to search for the VST (or whatever) that I’m looking for, and it won’t work. OR it will work, but it will also trigger key commands for whatever keys I’m using to type.

For example, when creating a new track, I try to search for Kontakt — but I hit ‘k’ while I do that, and ‘k’ is linked to my click turning on and off. As I search for Kontakt, my click turns on.

This is a small issue in this instance, but it can create a number of issues if the wrong key command is triggered. Especially if I don’t notice that they are triggered.

Hi, this should definetly NOT happen …
Can you provide more details? What search box do you mean? Media Bay?
Could you send a screenshot, please? This shouldn’t interfere with key commands at all.
Also - which OS are you on and which Cubase version (14.0.32 ?) do you use?
The more details - the better!

Mac OS Ventura
Nuendo 14.0.32
But this has been happening since the first Nuendo 14 download.

And it is any search text box, but it specifically happens most with Inserts (plugins) search and VST search when creating a new track.

I have the same issue with Cubase 14 Pro on WIN11 Professional. Has this been root caused?
