Song is 12/8 but want the appearance of 4/4

Maybe not a Dorico question per se but…

I’ve been asked to do a score job for Perfect Symphony by Ed Sheeran and Andre Bocelli. This song has the feel of 6/8 or 12/8 time - similar to Hallelujah by Leonard cohen… . However when scoring the string and horn on it I’ve ran into the old issue of being left with hoardes of triplets on the string lines which have the feel of 4/4 time mostly. Any insight into best practice?

One easy thing to do would be to put everything in 4/4 with triplets, and then hide all the triplets. Select All, then use Edit/Filter/Tuplets, and then use the bottom Properties panel to hide numbers and brackets as necessary.
