Sound in Dorico

I bought Dorico pro a week ago! Everything is installed.
But when i want to play a part i don’t hear the sound! And the sound is on on my laptop.
What did i maybe wrong during the installation of dorico pro?
And the green line during playing a part is not going forward?

Hi @bklopman , welcome to the forum.

For a start, could you please do follolwing:

  • Start Dorico and create a new project form piano template
  • Enter some arbitrary notes
  • Choose from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report and post the corresponding zip file to a reply here.

From what I see in the diagnostics I can give further advice.

I am a Finale 27 user and make the change to Dorico! And now I have a lot to learn.

Hey @bklopman , thanks for the data.
You don’t have a sound device assigned so Dorico does not know where to play out through.
So in Dorico choose from the main menu Edit > Device Setup. There choose an audio driver and also make sure that as output a double port is listed.
Do you understand my explanation. It not, please ask again.
