After installing Etude Elements the sound is not working. I have gone through the trouble shooting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BcPJd92zqU&t=157s and still not work. Thank you for any hints, help about this?
That video is old…
Have you refreshed the license, as has been numerously advertised? You might have missed that, though.
Open the Steinberg Activation Manager. Locate the refresh button (a round arrow). Keep Shift key down while clicking on that refresh button and wait for the “force refresh” to happen. Then open Dorico 6.1, you should find that Etude Elements does work now.
Thank you, Marc. Yes, I have refreshed the license… Elements seem to work but not the sound.
But do you hear other instruments? If not, check out what’s in Edit Audio output devices (probably at the bottom of Edit menu)?
While a project is loaded, please do from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the corresponding zip file to a reply here. Thanks
Btw, Anthony will create a new video on sound troubleshooting, soon. We already worked the script out.
This is probably a long shot, but I was having that problem with no sound on my laptop speakers so out of curiosity I plugged in headphones and they worked. When I unplugged the headphones the laptop speakers worked. – Bill
thank you, Ulf. Here it is
Dorico Diagnostics.zip (1.7 MB)
Thank you, Bill. I tried and still does not work.
I will be looking forward to that.
Hi @pdiaz , thank you for the diagnostics data, but they are actually incomplete. I did ask you slightly different to what you did.
My instruction was to create the diagnostic report while a project is loaded, but the diagnostics show me, that that was not the case. So I kindly ask you to repeat. First load a project file and then create the diagnostics.
Thanks
Thank you for your patience @Ulf. I hope it is complete now.
