Sounds added to sampler track missing when I open project

The sounds and samples I’m adding to the sampler track in Cubase are not saving with the projects or being added to the pool. I am not being prompted to save/add sound to pool when importing. How do I make sure I will not have any missing sounds when I open my projects?

yes, it is very annoying behavior. if the sample gets moved or you move the project to a new computer you need to remember to copy this sample with the same location to make it work in my experience.
