Hello again.
Does anyone have any experience with the Source Nexus plugins and apps?
I have experience, but only with ProTools and when I configure the channels in Nuendo the way I’m used to, it doesn’t work. (Can send sound out of Nuendo but get no sound back from Teams, SessionLink, Nexus Gateway etc.).
The Source Elements support is great but currently they have little to no documentation for Nuendo.
So I wanted to bump this … hoping someone is using Source Nexus I/O.
I use it everyday – Not sure where your issue is - but make sure you have the Nexus Control Panel App set-up with all the I/O points you want – In N14 you need to insert the NEXUS plug on your input and/or output channel – then you have to select the in or out path within the plug-in itself – Looking at your post - maybe you’re not inserting the Nexus plug-in on your Input section? – Make sure you’ve built the individual INPUTS in your AUDIO CONNECTIONS set-up - but you don’t need to assign any I/O paths there, leave them empty – you do the I/O assignments (NEXUS Paths) in the NEXUS plug-in
Hey @felix. I tried the setup you suggested. At “audio connections” I created inputs and outputs like “from Nexus”, “to Nexus”, “from riverside”, “to riverside” …
I placed the source nexus I/O plugin as insert on these input/output channels and chose the corresponding virtual busses created in the source nexus control panel.
“but you don’t need to assign any I/O paths there, leave them empty – you do the I/O assignments (NEXUS Paths) in the NEXUS plug-in”
This is the only difference I have here. If I don’t apply hardware inputs and outputs in the “audio connections” window, there is no sound coming from the inputs (although the nexus I/O routing is done as expected). I have to choose a real (hardware) input/output for all these channels - otherwise there’s no sound transmitted.
