Spacing gap for end of system cautionary clef?

My quick question of the day…
Do mid-clef spacing prefs apply to cautionary changes? I hope so, but it means I’m missing something.
FWIW - in a 66% full system, with left-side gap @ default 1/2 space, the last note head (tenor clef F above the staff) actually overlaps with the cautionary bass clef.
Thanks as always!

Do you mean that the note “tucks” over the clef? It would be easier to understand if you could attach a little picture to show what you mean.

Here you go with a quick png… (and as I mentioned system only 66% full.)

Turns out I was wrong… I’m seeing this mid-staff as well! So I must be missing something. ( Hope this png is clear enough .) Thanks!

Indeed, Dorico does this by default, in the same way that hand-engraved music approaches this situation: the general rule is that if Dorico can avoid disturbing the default rhythmic spacing, it will.

Thanks Daniel, but that confuses me about when the left side of clef change spacing gap has any effect.
(And back in my days of hand work, I don’t remember ever tucking a clef.)

It’s because Dorico avoids collisions by the actual outlines of the glyphs, rather than vertical columns for each glyph.

Thanks Mark, for giving the underlying structure.
