Is there a way to turn down the speaker volume all the way it seems that "all the way down is " it is at a comfortable listening level but it doesn’t go any lower it reads -18db

??? Can you please be more specific? Wavelab does not have a “speaker volume control”.
Yes it has, at the bottom of the Master Section.
But in which case would it be needed to have less than -18 dB? A larger range would decrease the precision of the knob control.
I can’t imagine using something in a DAW to fully control the speaker level. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, and a blown speaker.
The purpose is to switch between different device outputs, driving different speakers, and have a gain as compensation.
Right. I can see it being using for calibrating different speakers that are not the same level, but not as the main level control which I don’t think it was designed for.
