Speakers No Longer have 2 Audio Channels

I just updated Cubase to 12.0.70 Build 464, and now it only shows one audio channel when my speakers have had 2 channels since Cubase 6 until now. What is going on?

Hi,

It’s on the driver side. As you can see, the driver provides only 1 channel. Cubase can’t do anything here.

It used to have 2 channels all this time since I’ve used Cubase 6. Though now for no apparent reason the onboard Realtek ASIO drivers I managed to find online after some digging suddenly work, and I’m just using those now. Until now, it just always said it couldn’t initialize the device. I have no idea what I did to make all this stuff change.

Something I never thought I’d see since Realtek is just onboard and didn’t include these. lol

Hi,

I would recommend to use the virtual driver ASIO4ALL.

I’ve had it for a long time, but didn’t like using it because of how it takes exclusive control of the audio output. Though I just found a virtual audio cable where I can have my cake and eat it too by routing ASIO4ALL through it.
