Hi everyone,
i have a very special question:
Is it possible to change the default Output on startup of nuendo?
Everytime i start nuendo it generates a “stereo out” in stereo-configuration. for my needs i need a 5.1-configuration on startup caused to a “Cues”-Bug.
is it possible to change this startup-configuration?
Greetings JD
According to the manual, " If you create an empty project, your default presets for the input and output bus configurations are applied. If you have not defined default presets, the last used configurations are applied."
That seems wrong and only works if you have already started Nuendo, opened a project and then closed it. The “default” is then those last outputs.
I literally always work with templates though so I would recommend you just start doing that. Even if it’s just an almost blank one. That should solve your problem.

Yeah, a blank template with your settings is the way to go if you like starting from “scratch”.
i tried all you said, but nothing helped me out on startup of nuendo.
Any other suggestions?
As I use a laptop full time , each time my io changes or isn’t available you get asked which io you would like to use , so not a great work around but unplugging your last io would force the question
If you use a template to start a new project the settings of the template should override the automatically created stereo bus. Did that not work?
Just so I’m clear, the stereo bus will still be created when you literally start Nuendo, but once you create a new project from template the template settings should apply instead.
Save your output assignments as a preset titled Default.
