Can any help, Ive just upgraded Cubase 15 pro the new Specralayer 13 I’ve downloaded and installed it to my up to dated Mac running Tacho but I cannot enter the activation code it tells me I don’t have a licence can anyone help
Translation please.
You bought and own Cubase Pro 15 and when you visit your user area at Steinberg dot net, you see that purchased license there, right?
You bought and own Spectralayers Pro 13 and when you visit your user area at Steinberg dot net, you see that license too, right?
Ive had the upgrade Cubase for a few months I upgraded the Sprctralayer 2 days ago Ive inatalled it but all I get on Cubase the the Spectralayer go, I have the access code when I copy it in the box it says I don’t have a licence
Did you activate SpectraLayers in the Steinberg Activation Manager?
It won’t let me do it, Ive entered the access code a lot of times it says that I don’t have a licence but I 100% have it for my previous Cubase 15 pro
Its driving me crazy
What code exactly is not accepted? The one you got with the purchase of SpectraLayers 13? Is SpectraLayers listed in the Activation Manager (not the Download Assistant where you enter the code)?
I have the receipt of the purchase and was given the access code also when I put in the redeem section of download assist
my answer docent make sense does it, I was sent the long access code when I purchased the upgrade I put the access code in where it says redeem it tell me I don’t have a licence
one minute
Ok. Do you have a license for SpectraLayers Pro 12 (the full version, not the Go edition which is part of Cubase)? If not, the update code doesn’t work.
tbh I don’t think I do, I only the the basic one the SpectralayerGo
Yep your right I will have to get in tough with Support
Thank you I really appreciate your advice and time a lot of respect
You’re welcome. I hope you get everything sorted.
Here you find information on requesting a refund:
Man this requirement to log into your Steinberg account Self-Service page (Sign in) to authorize your “Products” before activating the software in Steinberg Activation Manager can be such a pain if you don’t recall to follow those steps in that order. That’s what I think is happening here. And it is explained in the after purchase email, yet can be entirely frustrating if user doesn’t do things in the right order.
Thanks very much Ive managed to get some advice from someone, we finally worked out that the upgrade I bought I wasn’t entitled because I don’t have the pro 12, ive now bought the complete pro 13 so thank you very much appreciated
