SpectraLayers 10 One Crashes Cubase 13

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select and audio region in Cubase 13
  2. Go to Audio/Extensions/SpectraLayers

Result: Cubase crashes

OS version: macOS 14.6.1
Cubase 13.0.41
SpectraLayers: 10.0.50

No crash with 14.6 here. Upgrading to 14.6.1 then I will check that for you

Just tried with 14.6.1 and no crash here. I would re install the SpectraLayers from the Download Assistant under Cubase Pro13, that and maybe Cubase app only. No need to re install the rest of it.

I got approved for cross-grade to CuBase…guess I’ll be trying ARA soon too

I figured out what the problem was. I had been testing SpectraLayers 11 trial and Cubase was still trying to use that one instead of SpectraLayers 10. The solution was to:

  1. Remove SpectraLayers.vst3
  2. Start Cubase so that it removes its reference to SpectraLayers 11
  3. Quit Cubase
  4. Reinstall SpectraLayers 10
  5. Start Cubase again to scan and add SpectraLayers 10
