When I start Spectra Layers 12 Pro in standalone mode and load an MP3 file, the following error occurs. Is the file loaded normally? The waveform is displayed.
「Open Error: no sample rate or channels available (device sample rate: 0 input device channels: 0 output device channels: 0)」
When I close the popup with OK and press the play button, the error “API was not initialized” appears and the music does not play.
After installing Spectra Layers 11 Pro, I cannot use it due to the same phenomenon as above. However, when I use it by incorporating it into Cubase 14 Pro, I think it can be used, although I am not sure if it is normal.
I basically want to use it in standalone mode, so please tell me how to solve this problem.
The OS is WINDOWS 11.
Go to your profile on the Steinberg site. Look under products AAC (Fraunhofer).
If you havn’t installed this you need to do so because this is the decoder for mp3 files.
I won’t even ask why you would load an mp3 file in SpectraLayers.

Looks like you don’t have your audio device correctly selected in SpectraLayers. In Edit | Preferences | Device, it should look something like this:
