Well good news, I found a way around the Cubase issue that can be implemented directly into SpectraLayers 
It will be featured in the next patch.

Yes I have given up with ARA and SPectralayers. Give it a year or two and see if it starts to work. I get so fed up with all this flakiness., I waste so much time. Steinberg support is so appalling if it doesn’t work and you cannot find solutions on google move on.
How do I get Spectralayers 7 ARA to work with Studio One? I have the Win10 and latest version of Studio One 5
