Spectrum Edit Bug?

Can someone try this:

Select a clip in the Montage
Go to “edit” then select “Spectrum”
Select “Spectrum Selection”
Zoom in about half-way or more
Make a selection
Hit play
Place the cursor somewhere else on the display
Hit play again

Does the file now play from the top?
The only time this doesn’t happen to me is when the waveform is zoomed completely out
This behavior (jumping to the top) happens to me on a regular basis but the only way I can make it happen every time is to follow the steps above.

This is aggravating enough that I’ve had to go back to Wavelab 6 for spectrum work.

Thanks!
Gary

Hi …

I use Spectrum Editor on most projects at some point and have not experienced this. I was unable to replicate it it specifically today.

When it happens for you, is the timeline display correct? I have experienced unrepeatable, intermittent errors with Spectrum Editor that I can certainly live with (because they only occur infrequently), see here: Wierd Timeline Ruler Behavior - WaveLab - Steinberg Forums

Hi Paul.

I’ll check this out and report back,
