I began using Cubase when logic switched to Mac only, long time ago. When the updates got up to 7.5 I stopped updating, and used that version for quite awhile.
I purchased version 10, then have been updating every year to version 15.
My point with all this history is to ask: when did Spectural Layers become included with Cubase? If I own Spectural Layers, which version is it? Can I still download it?

Spectralayers Go is included in all Cubase versions. The current free version that comes with Cubase 15 is Spectralayers Go 12 that can be downloaded via Steinberg Download Assistent:
My Product > Cubase 15 > Tools on the right side > Spectralayers.
Spectralayers Go comes with limited functionality compared to the full Spectralayer version which needs to be purchased separatly.
The “free”…“lite”…“stripped down”…“not-the-same-as-pro” version first appeared in Cubase 14 I believe…just so you’re clear on the when-what.
“Go” is in …no…way…as capable as pro. imo.

Oh yeah “one”. I didn’t really keep track as I’ve always used Pro…but seems v11 was only SL go as ara…and then a full-blown independent module in v14…or something…too confusing for me.
I’ve never even downloaded it, let alone installed it. I rarely use audio, so have no use for it. As I said, I’m bored… Waiting for my wife to come home from work. So I can cook dinner. And eat!
ha…only 9:30 in the morning here in LA. Dinner’s not quite on my mind yet as I sip the coffee
