Split at selection boundaries, how?

Hi,
I just cant’t find it…

In Montage: Is there a way to split a selection at both ends with only one shortcut?

This is the way I do it right now: After making a selection, the cursor stays at the end of it. Now I press ‘S’ to split. Then I position the cursor at the beginning of the selection and hit ‘S’ again… Can this be done with only one command?

In WaveLab 8, there is a new function for this: “Create clip from selection”.
