Split beaming in the middle of a tied note without time signature

Hi,

I’m working at a piece which has to be written without time signature and barlines.

I want a passage of 16th notes to be beamed like:

If you enter a time signature, Dorico does it automatically if the preferences are set appropriately.

But without a time signature, I can’t get Dorico to split the beam in the middle of the tied note:

I cannot select the noteheads seperately…

Any ideas?

Switch to Engrave mode first! :wink:

I had some problems with selecting noteheads in engrave mode, sometimes Dorico wouldn’t let me select noteheads properly… :wink:

Zoom in, it’s easier in Engrave mode (otherwise, you select the stems…)
