Split Loop function

I’m using Cubase Artist 8.5. The manual says on page 188:

Select Edit > Functions > Split Loop.
This splits events on all tracks at the left and right locator positions

Is there any way to do this for just the selected track?

It’s the default … but it would be quicker, for just one track, to use the scissors tool.
