Split MIDI part, Move Notes Between Clips

I use the scissors to split a MIDI part in the timeline. The split is on a bar. However, there are some notes that were played slightly ahead of the bar, so when I split, those notes are retained in the first clip and stick out beyond the end.

What I want to do is have those notes go into the second clip. How are notes supposed to be moved between clips?

Hi,

  • Select the MIDI Note(s) you want to move.
  • Pres L keyCommand (Locate Selection Start).
  • Ctrl+X (Cut).
  • Open the other MIDI Part in the Key Editor (make sure the focus is in the Key Editor).
  • Ctrl+V (Paste).
