Split multirests independently in different layouts

I have just noticed that if one selects and removes the SPLIT signpost from a part layout, it also gets removed from all other layouts.
From my experience with Sibelius, the “split multirest” applied in the score is osmotically applied to all parts, while removing it in a part layout doesn’t remove it in other layouts.

Am I approaching the Dorico feature from the wrong angle or is it working as currently designed?
Thanks!

Do you get different results with the Set local properties toggle set to ”global” or ”local”?

I don’t, it was already set on Locally.
Historically, when you delete something, or switch off a property, it gets deleted/switched in all layouts (e.g., a slur position edit).

@MicheleGalvagno, the Split multi-bar rest function affects all Layouts in a project and is not capable of being changed locally.

Users can get around this by putting hidden objects in Layouts where they want a multi-bar rest split. A text item (Shift+X) containing a single space will appear hidden, and this usually does the trick. There should also be a Signpost visible if you want to delete the item.

Thank you Daniel, this is a very good workaround!
I still hope this will be made Layout-independent in the future.
