Split system

How would I accomplish this in Dorico?

You could create two musical frames side by side and introduce a frame break ?

Thanks, I tried to play with frames but found it quite frustrating. Finally gave up.

Hej Marc.
I am also trying to split a system, sort of like it does when you use coda.
How can I do that?

You can use an actual coda, and then hide the coda mark via Properties.

Does anyone have any new info on splitting systems in Dorico?

There is no new functionality in that regard. Can you tell us what you’re trying to achieve exactly, and I’m sure we can help.

Welcome to the forum @mattpower.

I’m not sure if this would help or not:

I make lesson sheets for my students in Sibelius and use split systems often. I really don’t like avid as a company and am hoping I can get as good at Dorico and I am in Sibelius. Here is an example

Oh, easy! I would just use hidden codas. You can set the inter-system gap to a larger amount, maybe 12 spaces. Or you can move them manually using the note spacing tool.

Or, use a separate flow for each exercise, and draw / position music frames on the page to show the exercises where you want them.
