Ok dumb question but when I split a midi part with the scissor tool the sustained notes where I make the cut are not being cut and are continuing. What the heck? How are you supposed to do this?

Found the answer on a Cubase Hangout:
Preferences>Editing>MIDI>Split MIDI
Kinda dumb, should be the default IMHO
