I work with the pop-up Transport window hidden. I usually just select a note or rest on one staff and then press P.

In my case, it occurs with and without the transport window visible, alas.

I have had the bug many times ( really = almost every time I use Dorico) with only one Flow.

I use the Transport in the “as is” location, upper right on the main window.

I just repeated these steps 3 times with identical results. They may or may not give a clue…:
New project
Add ensemble single woodwinds
drag project window to other (4K) monitor – window not maximised
Enter 8 bars of music in the flute in page view
switch to galley view
copy the flute music to the oboe starting in bar 9
zoom the window (if necessary) so that only the first few bars of the oboe is visible.
select the first note in bar 9 and hit alt-p.
start playback.
Score is not scrolling beyond what is already visible (green cursor disappears to the right)
