SSD & IGP

It used to be that IGP (intergrated or on board graphics) was a no go for DAW PCs. Maybe it still is. Back then you had no sideport RAM and now you even have the CPU/GPU SandyBridge.

IGP still a bad idea for DAW PCs?

SSDs are getting cheaper, but are still way more expensive than HDDs. Suppose you could afford one of the OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB, S-ATA III (about 220 euro) for your new build, the rest being conventional HDDs.

Where would it give you the most bang for buck: 1. System, 2.Samples or 3. Recording? Or would you rather spend the extra 220 on something else?

My laptop runs just fine with onboard graphics, using 2 screens of different resolution as well.
