So I already set a few things up and yesterday it was working as expected. Basically I setup tracks 1 to 16 as drums, 17 to 24 as bass and piano, Etc. Each instrument set in its own folder, so drums in Drums folder Etc. The banking was working perfectly and banked through everything as expected and the UF8 updated correctly. However when I try tonight tracks 1 to 8 will not display on the UF8. If I use the UF8 bank buttons Cubase does show tracks 1 to 8 correctly hi lighted with the white banking bar which is grouped in the usual 8’s. This is correctly displayed in mixer and track window. However if I turn the channel pot on the UF8 to move through the tracks one by one, it then hi lights two banks on the cubase mix console and track window but still only moves through the channels one at a time. But will not show the first 8 tracks on the UF8. Finally if I add layer 3 as the plugin mixer the banking works fine.
I have raised this as an issue with SSL. As when I reset the UF8 and tried the same with Layer 2, I had the same issue but the other way around. This time I could bank all the way left to the first channel, but going right I faced the same issue, the last 8 and sometime 16 channels would not show on the UF8.
I am not at home at the minute but thinking if the bank buttons have a user mode, then I could use key commands?
Edit. I have just seen some information that says do not use routing mode whilst banking as it does not work. OK so yes I am using routing mode (unsure if it banks in another mode). Correct me if I am wrong but the UF8 only shows the track names in routing mode. So if that does not work, how am I to know what tracks I am adjusting on the UF8 without looking at the cubase screen, does not make sense. Is there another mode other than routing I can choose with a soft key that shows the track names?
