Staff label behavior with instrument changes and bar repeat regions

Previously, I asked about bar repeat regions and staff labels in the following thread:
https://forums.steinberg.net/t/issue-with-bar-repeat-regions-and-staff-labels/1018077

Layout Options > Staves and Systems > Staff Labels
“Instrument changes: Show first sounding instrument on system”

Turning this option off does resolve the issue with bar repeat regions and staff labels.

However, doing so causes a different problem when there is an instrument change after a rest.

Layout Options > Players > Instrument Changes
I have selected “Instrument transition position: Before first note in new instrument.”

For example, when changing from Alto Saxophone to Soprano Saxophone, I expect the instrument change label and the new transposition to appear at the point where the Soprano Saxophone begins playing.

If a system begins with a bar rest (with Alto Saxophone transposition), and the instrument changes to Soprano Saxophone later within the same system, the staff label at the system start shows Alto Saxophone instead of Soprano Saxophone.

To display Soprano Saxophone in the staff label, I need to turn “Show first sounding instrument on system” back on.

I also considered using divisi in order to manually control the staff labels.
However, since section players cannot change instruments, this did not resolve the issue.

Is it possible to show the previous instrument in bar repeat regions, while showing the new instrument in the staff label at instrument change positions?

The only workaround I can think of would be to put a hidden note in the triangle part in bar 7 or 8:
